Hackathon 2 — Completionist Reward

Lottery Eligibility & Rules

Completionist reward — AEA/MTI Hackathon 2

Eligibility

The AEA/MTI Hackathon 2 completionist lottery is open to any individual who submits at least one valid entry across the Critique, Create, or Collab participation paths during the active event window. Participation is open to all regardless of AEA membership status, geographic location, or professional background.

Eligible entries

Only submissions made through the official Critique, Create, and Collab submission forms are eligible for lottery consideration. Hot Take Wall submissions do not constitute hackathon entries and are excluded from lottery eligibility. A maximum of three (3) entries per person will be counted toward lottery eligibility, regardless of how many submissions are made. Submitting across multiple paths or options does not guarantee additional lottery entries beyond this limit.

Valid submissions

An entry is considered valid if it: (a) is submitted through the appropriate form during the active event window; (b) includes all required fields; (c) reflects genuine engagement with the chosen path and option — entries that are blank, nonsensical, or clearly submitted in bad faith will be disqualified at the discretion of the organizers; and (d) does not include personally identifiable information about third parties or content that violates the event’s ethics guidelines.

Lottery draws

Each eligible participant may win a maximum of one (1) lottery prize, regardless of the number of valid entries submitted. If a winner cannot be contacted within fourteen (14) days of notification, an alternate winner may be selected.

Organizer discretion

MTI and AEA reserve the right to disqualify entries, modify lottery rules, or cancel the lottery in the event of unforeseen circumstances. Decisions made by the organizers regarding eligibility and prize awards are final.

No purchase necessary

Participation in the hackathon and the associated lottery is free of charge. No purchase or payment of any kind is required or accepted.
